Campus Card
The Campus Card is not a requirement for transit, but is still used as your library card and an option if you’d like another form of identification. Find information below on how to obtain one.
Although the Campus Card was requested by some Kamloops merchants to access student discounts, the new BC Transit UMO app can be used to provide proof that you are a registered student.
We can prepare your card any time, but it can only be issued after your course registration is complete.
How to get your Campus Card
- Take a selfie or profile photo of yourself.
- Log into your myTRU or TRU email account.
- Send email to [email protected] with your full name and TRU ID in the subject line and attach your jpg file.

UPASS
Starting in summer 2024, the TRUSU UPASS will transition from a physical card to a mobile app, integrating with BC Transit’s new electronic fare system, Umo. This app offers contactless payment and new fare products, enhancing convenience for you.
Getting your UPASS is simple. All members of the Students’ Union automatically have the UPASS fee assessed when they register for a course. Ten days before the start of each semester, you will receive an email from the Students’ Union with a link to download the Umo app and instructions for setting up the UPASS.
Visit TRUSU UPASS for more information.
