Self-service functions in myTRU and related systems, including registration, payments, timesheets, tax forms and applications to TRU, will be offline from 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Traffic disruption on College Drive

From November 18 to 20, site servicing work will be taking place at Kamloops campus. This work will primarily affect the east end of College Drive and the area between OLARA, NPH and L2, causing intermittent disruptions to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Access information

Parking access:
Parking lot S will remain open, with entry recommended from the west (via Campus Drive) to avoid the construction zone.

Pedestrian access:
The sidewalk around lot L2 will be closed. Pedestrians are advised to use alternative routes.

We appreciate your patience as we work to complete these essential upgrades before winter.

Credit card convenience fee starting Dec. 1, 2024

Starting December 1, 2024, credit card payments on student accounts will incur a 2.5% fee for Visa and Mastercard and 3.75% for American Express. Consider using fee-free alternatives like Interac e-transfer via PayMyTuition (please note that Interac e-transfers need to be processed through the PayMyTuition platform, as direct e-transfers to TRU’s email are not accepted), online bill payment or cheque. You can also add someone else to pay your student account on your behalf using your PayMyTuition profile.

Changes to where you make tuition payments

Starting Sept. 19, you will notice the interface where you make tuition payments has changed. Now, you are one click away from the PMT (Pay My Tuition) website.

Here's the scoop:

  • Accessing PMT: You can get to the PMT website either through myTRU or directly from the TRU website.
  • Payment methods: PMT still supports all the same online payment methods you’re used to, and now includes Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit.
  • Authorized users: You can now add someone (like a parent) to pay your tuition for you.
  • International students: Good news! PMT lets you pay through a Canadian institution.

Naloxone kits and training available

Take action against the opioid crisis: free Naloxone kits and training at TRU’s Kamloops campus

In response to the ongoing opioid crisis—including the toxic drug supply, which affects not only those with addiction but anyone using substances—TRU continues to expand its overdose prevention efforts. Unintentional overdose remains the leading preventable cause of death in B.C., highlighting the critical need for widespread awareness and access to life-saving interventions like naloxone.

Kamloops campus

The Wellness Centre in Old Main (OM 1479) on Kamloops campus provides free naloxone kits that can temporarily reverse the effects of an overdose. Training sessions, which take just 15-20 minutes, are available. Once trained, you can also take home a naloxone kit.

Protect yourself and your peers—visit the Wellness Centre to get trained and equipped.
