The Office of the AVP, Open Learning, is responsible for advancing the open access mandate of the University and provides administrative support for the departments within Open Learning.
Program Delivery supports the delivery of Open Learning courses to Open Learning students. In doing this we help with the scheduling courses, support and recruitment of Open Learning faculty members, final examinations, course materials, academic appeals, academic integrity and general resolution of issues related to delivery of courses. Questions related to your Open Learning faculty member or general course concerns can be directed to [email protected].

Curriculum Development provides leadership and support for the development and maintenance of all Open Learning courses. Contact: Dr. Paul Martin — Director, Curriculum Development and Delivery: [email protected]
Instructional Design leads the development of new courses and major revisions and provides expertise in learning design, promising practices in open and online pedagogies, and creation of engaging learning environments. [email protected]
Learning Technology and Innovation develops and maintains the online learning environment, and meets the digital production of needs for Open Learning courses. Prior Learning and Assessment Recognition allows you to earn academic credit for life and work experience through prior learning and assessment recognition (PLAR). This process determines if the knowledge, skills and abilities you have acquired outside of post-secondary education can be used toward academic credits.
