Self-guided tour and scavenger huntGet your free tour package at the Future Students office

The Family Scavenger Hunt welcomes all families new and familiar with TRU to stop in and interactively explore everything the main campus has to offer while having some fun. Maybe some of the resident deer will show up.

Self-guided tours are available for anyone wanting to go at their own pace. Brochures are available in person at the Future Students office or, digitally for download below.

Free tour packages for the scavenger hunt or the self-guided tours are available weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Future Students office, 850 Sk’lep Trail (or in the labelled bin outside the office after hours).

When should I arrive at TRU for my visit?

Please arrive on campus no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled tour. You will meet your tour at The Welcome Centre, 850 Sk’lep Way. View our campus map here

Can I bring guests with me?

Yes! Guests are welcome.

Will there be multiple families per tour?

Yes, there is a possibility that you could be grouped with other small families/groups. If this is a concern for your group, please reach out to the Future Students Office and we can discuss other possible arrangements.

Do you accommodate walk-in visitors?

We recommend that you book a tour to ensure we can host you on campus on your day of choice! We cannot guarantee a tour if you do not book in advance.

When are tours offered?

We offer guest tours Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Can I schedule an appointment with a Future Student Advisor or Indigenous Future Student Advisor?

Yes! We encourage you to book an appointment before or after your tour. If you are not able to book in advance, appointments will be based on the availability of an advisor.

May I stay overnight at one of the on-campus residences?

Unfortunately, our on-campus residences are not currently accepting short term guests.

Are there dining options on campus?

Yes, we have plenty. Available food options

What if there is inclement weather?

Our tours run rain or shine, so we ask that you dress for the weather. In extreme heat or cold, the tour may be condensed. If you wish to cancel or reschedule your visit, please cancel through your tour confirmation or email the Future Students Office.

What if I cannot come during the set tour times?

Connect with the Future Students Office about possibly arranging an alternate time.
